A big production house and Broadcasting Company such as Fox entering the crypto ecosystem is definitely a story worth mentioning. NFTs have paved the way for various entities such as artists, sportspeople, teams, musicians, and now broadcasting companies to become a part of the crypto community.

Recently Fox partnered with Dan Harmon, the co-creator of Rick and Morty, to create an NFT marketplace that will feature characters and artwork from its new animated show Krapopolis. The series will introduce the sale of NFTs based on the characters through the marketplace and help Fox enter the world of NFTs.

Krapopolis, a Blockchain Series

Fox, an American commercial broadcast TV network, recently announced its plan to partner with Dan Harmon and develop Krapopolis. This series will be the first animated series that will be based on blockchain technology.

This series will represent Rick, Morty, and other characters which will then be associated with their NFTs. These NFTs will be launched on “Blockchain Creative Labs,” an NFT company by Fox. However, the details are still hazy, and the exact date of launch is unknown.

Fox also plans to reward the most dedicated fans of the series with tokens that offer them “exclusive social experiences.” This is the first step for the Film and Television industry to enter the blockchain and crypto world and is widely appreciated.

Fox’s CEO, Charlie Collier, outlined the company’s plan to add more advertising partners to the project,

”Not to go too far today, but as an adviser-centric, artist-first, and animation-obsessed company, Fox will lead advertisers into the world of blockchain-powered tokens, including the NFTs.”

The Inevitable rise of NFTs

NFTs are a hot topic in both the crypto and non-crypto world. Everyone wants to become a part of this promising opportunity, and to cater to this growing need, more and more NFTs marketplaces are opening up.

Several celebrities such as Tyson Fury, Eminem, and Floy Mayweather have already launched their personalized NFT collections. Tom Brady, seven-time Super Bowl champion, also mentioned launching an NFT marketplace, Autograph.

Evidently, Krapapolis won’t be the first television program to join the crypto community as Star Wars, an iconic Sci-fi movie, has already beaten them to it. However, FOX will become the first broadcasting company to join the crypto bandwagon and mark a new era for the crypto ecosystem.
