New Fidelity ETFs to offer Access to Metaverse and Crypto Industries

The famous financial well-being company Fidelity has announced the launch of two innovative thematic ETFs (Exchange-traded funds) for the cryptocurrency ecosystem and metaverse. The Fidelity Crypto Industry and Digital Payments ETF (FDIG) and FMET, the Fidelity Metaverse ETF along with five new fixed income sustainable ETFs and funds will become available from April 21, 2022, for all financial investors and individual investors. 

“With the addition of these new sustainable fixed income strategies, our clients now have access to building blocks across multiple asset classes to help address their investment goals and priorities.”

These new thematic ETFs will expand the offerings of Fidelity into crypto and metaverse industries. Fidelity Crypto Industry and Digital Payments ETG will not offer direct exposure to cryptocurrency and will create an opportunity for investment in companies that support digital assets such as crypto mining and trading, digital payment processing and blockchain technology. 

Enter the Metaverse

Fidelity Metaverse ETF will help the investors in the new virtual realm of innovation and help companies develop, distribute, manufacture and sell products or services that enable the metaverse. Recently, Fidelity released a Viewpoints article talking about the metaverse, “Enter the Metaverse”

Greg Friedman, the head of ETF Management and Strategy at Fidelity, said, “Leveraging Fidelity’s decades of investment expertise, we are focused on growing our broad product lineup with innovative strategies that offer choice, value and new opportunities to investors.” He further added, “We continue to see demand, particularly from young investors, for access to the rapidly growing industries in the digital ecosystem, and these two thematic ETFs offer investors exposure in a familiar investment vehicle.”

With these two new ETFs catering to the digital currency ecosystem, Fidelity will establish itself as a leader in the industry.
